Thanksgiving is the start of the holiday season in the United States. In recent days, most people in America thanks is more of a festival and not a moment to thank. One can always tell apart from the start of the Thanksgiving holiday and look forward to the season for heart attack. Unfortunately, this is what happens.
In 1999, Dr. Robert A. Kloner, MD, PhD, Heart Institute at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles found that deaths from heart attack starts to increase around Thanksgiving, continue to rise through Christmas, the peak for the year and then falling asleep. The researchers concluded that emotional stress and over indulgence during the holiday season was behind what Dr. Kloner nicknamed the "Merry Christmas Coronary" and "Happy New Year Heart Attack" phenomenon.
